Photographic Officer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Photographic Officer (PTO Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
*Pay Rate – £16.45 per/hr
*Location DfC, HED Heritage Records Designation Titanic Boulevard
*Benefits 37 days holiday per annum
*Hours 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
*Produce high quality photographic / digital darkroom, image correction and manipulation.
*Produce high quality photography of heritage assets both in the field and in the studio (artefacts / copy work)
*Assist with specialist photographic survey techniques for historic environment recording, including measured photographic survey, photogrammetric survey
*Assist with the daily management of HERoNI Photographic Record, including both digital and traditional stock.
*Assist with overseeing the day-to-day management of NICS DAMs (Digital Asset Management Database).
*Produce video work (including postproduction work) for conservation recording purposes and occasionally for social media (using editing software).
*Assist with photographic input into publication, exhibitions, events, PR and social media output, including the production of high-quality prints.
*Oversee photographic scanning work programmes and methodologies for administrative staff to maintain high quality digital recording standards
Essential Experience/Qualifications
*Education Level 6- Degree or professional equivalent in photography
*Extensive knowledge of, and experience in using Adobe photoshop for colour and tonal correction and image cleaning.
*Experience of copy work and studio work / lighting
*Experience of working as part of a team
*Driving licence and a mode of transport to allow the jobholder to carry out his duties.
Desired Experience/Qualifications
*Photographic archive experience, working to deadline
*Knowledge of other image editing softwares including DPP
*Experience of digitisation of film base imagery, i.e. slide and negative
*Knowledge of or interest in heritage.
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
