The Role
You’ll become an integral part of a vibrant teaching team, responsible for:
- Planning, delivering, and assessing GCSE Maths and Essential Skills Numeracy.
- Acting as class tutor, offering administrative and pastoral support.
- Co-ordinating delivery and assessment across programmes.
- Developing and promoting ILT and library resources to enhance learning.
- Participating in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance with awarding body standards.
- Engaging with external stakeholders to promote the provision.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, and marketing activity across the college.
This role requires a flexible approach, with occasional evening work expected.
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold GCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent Essential Skills qualifications
- Educated to degree level with at least 50% of the course content in Mathematics
- Experience delivering/tutoring Essential Skills Numeracy or GCSE Mathematics
- Excellent administrative and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication ability
Desirable:
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience in delivering Essential Skills Literacy or ICT
