Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a leading public sector organisation in Northern Ireland, who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial support across the organisation.
As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with senior finance leaders to provide expert financial analysis, develop business cases, and support budget holders in achieving effective financial management. This is a dynamic role that combines strategic planning, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Your new role Provide financial support and advice to senior managers and budget holders.Lead the development of business cases and service proposals through detailed costing and analysis.Monitor financial performance, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.Contribute to strategic planning and capital reporting.Assist in budget setting, monitoring, and reporting using financial systems.Deliver training and support to non-finance managers on budgetary control.Liaise with internal and external audit teams and ensure compliance with recommendations.Support continuous improvement in financial processes and service delivery.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in financial management.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in budgetary control and management accounting.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in business case development.
- Proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve financial outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent for financial analysis and reporting.
