Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Department: Maintenance
Location: Enniskillen
Shift: Dayshift, Sunday to Thursday
Payrate: Excellent hourly rates!
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Fitter will support the Maintenance team in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining key technical equipment. The role focuses on ensuring smooth plant operations, reducing downtime, and improving processes. The role works closely with all staff to maximise machinery utilisation and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in heavy plant/industrial maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs.
- Effective decision-making, planning, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Proactive, results-focused, and capable of using own initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Lead by example in safety compliance and encourage a culture of ownership.
- Use risk assessments to develop safe systems of work.
- Promote health and safety awareness among staff and contractors.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Perform mechanical maintenance across all plant areas.
- Carry out inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs on equipment.
- Liaise with production staff to ensure machinery is operational.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment changes.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations.
General & Administrative
- Foster teamwork and maintain good relations with colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with management and site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep work areas tidy and organised.
Team Working
- Be courteous and supportive to visitors and colleagues.
- Contribute to the overall team effort and operational efficiency.
