Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. – THE ROLE – The postholder will be responsible to the Estate Customer Services Manager for assisting with the execution of all minor works and mechanical and electrical maintenance programmes for the Campus. The Maintenance Co-ordinator (Mechanical and Electrical) is responsible for leading and supervising the operation of the Mechanical and Electrical Direct Works Unit (DWU) and External Contractors. – ABOUT YOU – 1. You will plan, manage and supervise the work of the Direct Works Unit (M&E). 2. You will promote a strong customer service ethos on campus ensuring that the concerns and needs of the customer are a priority in all plans and activities. 3. You will ensure, in conjunction with senior staff, that the planned maintenance of all mechanical and electrical elements is carried out according to appropriate schedules and to the correct specifications. 4. You will operate campus mechanical services through the Building Management System, including programming occupation times and analysing faults via the Building Management System deploying the DWU staff to repair faults.
