Machine Operator Location: Newry Shifts Available: 40 hours per week, 5 work shifts out of 6 (Dayshift Sunday-Friday, Nightshift Saturday-Thursday) Reports To: Production Manager/Supervisor Salary: Dayshift- £12.50 per hour Nightshift- £13 *Both shifts available* Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to be part of a fast-paced food production team? We’re looking for a Sandwich Machine Operator to help ensure our delicious products are made to the highest standards! What You’ll Be Doing: * Operate the sandwich machine safely and efficiently alongside another team member. * Ensure all sandwich fillings are properly placed and products meet quality standards. * Use the correct packaging for each product and customer specification. * Maintain a clean and tidy work area and machine at all times. * Communicate clearly with team leaders and supervisors about any issues or delays. * Complete necessary production documentation (PC1.5). * Assist in training new personnel as needed. * Report any mechanical problems directly to maintenance. What We’re Looking For: * Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a production environment – essential. * Ability to read and write in English – essential. * Understanding of different sandwich types and correct packaging for each. * Ability to read and follow production order forms and date codes. * Strong attention to detail, especially during quality checks. * Comfortable working in a team and in a food production environment. * Knowledge of food safety standards and correct chemical use for cleaning Skills: machine operator sandwich maker production line machine sandwich maker
