Job Summary

Job Title: Logistics Administrator Maternity Cover (Temporary)

Reporting to: Logistics Manager

Job Purpose: To provide administrative support to the Logistics Department thereby improving the efficiency and accuracy of order fulfilment and stock movement.

Working Pattern: 32 hours per week, with the option to work MondayThursday or MondayFriday depending on individual needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recording customer orders into a dedicated handling system.
  • Checking customer orders and communicating ETAs and delivery schedules.
  • Dealing with credit queries and providing resolution. ? Raise and receipt purchase orders.
  • Work closely with the logistics team and sales team to provide customers with exceptional customer service.
  • Liaise with Production to ensure stock is available in a timely manner for international orders.
  • Assist with stock checks to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Liaise with transport companies to receive quotes and ensure all export requirements are completed.
  • Prepare export paperwork for international shipments e.g. Environmental Health Certificates and Certificate of Origin.
  • Complete import requirements for consignments from GB to NI
  • Subsequent to appropriate training, provide holiday cover for other team members.
  • Any other duties as required, within reason and capability, to fulfil the companys needs

Essential Criteria;

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A minimum of 1 years experience working in an admin role
  • Good interpersonal/ communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines
  • Able to work full-time hours as required, on-site, at Mackle Petfoods, Moygashel

Desirable Criteria;

  • ERP systems knowledge
  • Related food manufacturing industry experience
  • FMCG experience
  • Experience in a logistics role
  • Experience using Trader Support Service and Traces
  • Commercial awareness in respect of the sector
  • Ability to pick up and assimilate information quickly and easily
  • Ability to handle competing demands
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to add value without direction.
