As a Legal Assistant in Kainos, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial Team and subsequently the wider business. This is a 12 month Fixed Term contract.

The position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various functions, assisting with a broad range of legal and operational tasks including administration, legal review, process automation and company secretarial tasks.

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and innovative legal environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the legal team in preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents, contracts and communications.
  • Assisting with the implementation and improvement of legal processes and workflows, including automation initiatives.
  • Supporting the implementation and adoption of new tools and technologies to streamline legal operations.
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of legal and company secretarial documents
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability by taking on new challenges and responsibilities as required.
  • Mentoring Business Support team member to support proactive management of administrative duties, including scheduling, signatures and document management.

Minimum (essential) requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar commercial or legal environment
  • Keen interest in operations, technology and AI
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work proactively, flexibly, and collaboratively in team.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies,
  • procedures and processes.
  • Effective personal time management and planning skills to deliver a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in tight timeframes/targets.
  • Ability to work efficiently, make sensible decisions under pressure and prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiatives with minimal supervision.

Desirable:

  • Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement within the team
  • Demonstrable experience in support project delivery, including coordination of tasks, tracking progress and managing documentation
  • Experience with Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, Jira, Workday and Marketo
  • Experience using AI tools.
