Lead Payroll Specialist – £29,000 to £34,000 DOEWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across six companies in a well-known construction company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong payroll background and excellent attention to detail to play a key role in a busy and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and assist with payroll processing for six companiesCollect and analyse weekly timesheetsProcess timesheets and wages using Sage PayrollCalculate statutory payments including holiday pay, SSP, SPP, etc.Manage BACS payment processingEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in a similar lead payroll role, managing all aspects of payrollPayroll qualifications or equivalent knowledge gained through experienceStrong IT skills, including:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to quickly learn financial and operational softwareExperience with Sage Payroll 50 (beneficial but not essential)Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central (beneficial but not essential)
