The Role:
Our client is seeking a Lead Mobile Engineer to join their team, reporting directly to the CTO. In this high-impact leadership role, you will drive the development of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and cloud services that underpin their next-generation medical products. The work you deliver will not only shape the business but will also be highly visible to their customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of mobile applications and cloud services
* Contribute to the architecture and design of software systems
* Create and maintain documentation required for regulatory compliance
* Champion best practices across the development lifecycle
* Collaborate with and mentor other team members to drive delivery and standards
* Support the planning and scoping of product releases
Essential Criteria:
* Strong mobile and web application development expertise
* Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering successful projects
* Excellent programming skills
* Experience with cloud hosting platforms (Heroku/AWS)
* Passion for programming and technology in general
* Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Mercurial, etc.)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience with unit testing and TDD
Desired Criteria:
* Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) application development experience
* Python (Django) API development experience
* Experience working in a regulated environment (medical, automotive, or similar)
* Familiarity with JIRA (or other task management tools)
* Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems (GitLab CI)
Academic Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
