Labourer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an experienced Labourer who can join their Portadown team within social housing sector. 3 months initially with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
To undertake all Labouring work associated with maintenance and refurbishment of buildings including and not limited to:
- Assisting other co-workers as required
- Domestic waste removal from buildings/roof-spaces/external areas etc
- Carrying out minor painting duties as required
- Carrying out cleaning/removal of rubbish from domestic properties and communal areas
- Cleaning stairwells
- Carrying out power washing
- Assisting scaffolder to erecting platforms/scaffold
- Erecting clothesline pole
- Assisting in the lifting of heavy/bulky rubbish and assist in construction or demolition of structures and buildings
- Collection and delivery of materials to site
- Assisting with ground works and mixing aggregates as required
- Clear gullies, gutters, downpipes as necessary
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must have sound knowledge of construction industry
- Must be able to work independently
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping a must
- Experience in a similar role is desirable
- Access NI Required
Remuneration
c£24,404 per annum, plus discount benefits. A form of transport will be provided to enable the post holder to carry out their duties.
