Rates:

• PAYE: £13.69 per hour

• Umbrella/Ltd: £17.41 per hour

Mandatory: Full UK Driving Licence (Class B + E)

Role Overview

You will join the Minor Works Team to carry out labouring, maintenance and inspection duties across council play parks and facilities. The role involves hands-on outdoor work, use of tools/equipment, completing safety checks and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, record and maintain Council playgrounds in line with RoSPA guidelines.

• Carry out general labouring and minor maintenance works across the council area.

• ️ Safely use hand tools, power tools and associated equipment.

• Drive council vehicles (general commercial vehicles).

• Complete accurate paperwork including vehicle defect sheets and driver declarations.

• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, PPE requirements, and council policies.

• ️ Assist maintenance staff with repair work when required.

• Participate in training and refresher courses.

✔️ Essential Experience

At least 3 years’ experience in:

• General building labouring

• Maintenance work

• Safe use of tools/equipment

• Adhering to Health & Safety procedures

Must have:
Full UK Driving Licence & access to transport
