36.25 Hours per week. Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, Wednesday- Sunday and Tues-Friday. Hours of work 6am-2pm, 10am-6pm. Shifts vary when on 10hr rotation.
Purpose of the post:
To support the Water Microbiology department.
- Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysis
- Sample preparation in line with company protocols
- Microbiological analysis of water samples in line with company protocols
- Training and operation of relevant equipment
- General housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contamination
- Accurate Data entry into laboratory database
- Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality system
- Effective communication with all employees
- Report any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory Supervisor
- Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the laboratory
