Your new role
As a Junior Estimator, you will support the pre-construction team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for fit-out projects. You will assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents, while helping to compile cost estimates and tender submissions. The role will involve liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotations, maintaining databases of costs, and supporting senior estimators in identifying risks and opportunities. This position offers the chance to develop your skills in estimating while gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and working closely with experienced professionals.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in construction and fit-out, with either some prior experience in estimating or a relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related discipline. Strong numerical and analytical skills, combined with attention to detail, will be essential. You should be confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn estimating software. Good communication skills will help you engage with colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors, while a proactive and enthusiastic attitude will enable you to grow within the role and take on increasing responsibility.
