Are you a hands-on Design Engineer with a passion for mechanical innovation? A growing engineering firm based in Banbridge is seeking a Junior / Intermediate Design Engineer to join their team. Specialising in the design and build of food processing machinery, this company serves clients across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of bespoke machineryfrom concept to commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Design food processing machinery using SolidWorks
- Create proof-of-concept models using 3D printing
- Issue drawings to fabricators and manage part selection and ordering
- Monitor build quality and progress through to dispatch
- Write user manuals and manage spares
- Participate in on-site commissioning of machinery when required
Criteria
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Experience with 3D printing
- Strong decision-making and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a small office environment
- Third-level qualification or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel abroad
- Full passport and driving licence
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Must live within commuting distance to Banbridge
