Joiner £15.33 per hour
Job Purpose:
To carry out a full range of joinery tasks for council properties, including repairs, maintenance, and installationseither independently or as part of a team.
Key Duties:

Carry out joinery repairs and maintenance (planned and reactive).

Work from technical drawings.

Order and collect materials as needed.

Record time and job costs accurately.

Participate in the emergency call-out rota if required.

Drive council vehicles to transport tools and materials.

Erect and dismantle scaffolding; work safely at heights.

Assist in training and mentoring apprentices, new staff, and contractors.

Comply with all health and safety regulations and council policies.

Supervise staff if required and ensure high service standards.

Represent the council professionally at all times.
Essential Criteria:

Time-served Joiner or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Carpentry and Joinery).

Full, current driving licence valid in Northern Ireland or access to transport*.

Minimum one years experience in:

Building maintenance.
-
Benchwork and joinery repairs in commercial properties.
