IT Systems Officer
- Annual Salary: £37,000 – £39,000

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated IT Systems Officer to join our clients experienced IT team.
The successful candidate will ensure all areas related to IT service provision are operating efficiently and effectively. Lead IT systems and application L1 & L2 support and assist with L3 support to approx. 100 users who are working in a hybrid pattern
Responsibilities:
- Endpoint Management / Desktop Support.
We require you to lead with end-user support and, OS, application, and hardware maintenance for staff endpoint devices. Take lead on the migration of Windows 10 to Windows 11 across the organisation.
- IT Security Implementation and Compliance.
Vulnerability scanning and patch management across the IT estate using tools such as Qualys and MS Intune will be required. There will be a need to support the implementation of Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO 27001 certification, while contributing to other Cyber Security Strategy targets. There will also be a need to review tickets created by our Managed SOC and respond to investigate and close incidents in our SIEM.
- IT Operations and Service Management.
Through the term of this contract take the lead with some tasks for IT Infrastructure management, such as Hardware Refresh, Backup Systems, Server Administration, Capacity Monitoring.
- Helpdesk Ticketing System
Proactively research, evaluate and if appropriate implement an alternative solution that integrates seamlessly with existing and future IT infrastructure and services.
- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Work in collaboration with the Information Management Officer to take lead in implementing AI solutions across various IT and IM functions including application sifting and chatbot development
- MS SharePoint Online
Provide assistance with configuring and maintaining the existing SharePoint sites and going forward take lead in creating new SharePoint
Essential Criteria:
- Degree/Higher degree in computing or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience working with the following:
- Microsoft 365 Administration (Identity, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Security).
- Experience with Microsoft Intune to onboard endpoint devices.
- Experience with administering and managing a Microsoft Hybrid Environment (on-prem and cloud).
- Experience with configuring W10 & W11 laptop devices with BitLocker Encryption.
- Experience with setting up Windows Hello for Business.
- Experience with Vulnerability Scanning and Patch Management (Qualys, Nessus).
- Experience with administering and managing system backups.
- Experience with administering and managing server infrastructure (Windows Server 2016 – 2022).
- Helpdesk experience dealing with L1 – L2 and assisting with L3 support issues.
- The ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
