You know better than most that metals are everywhere. Demand is constant. But what really makes you stand out is not just the stock you can offer, it is the service you deliver and the relationships you build. The trust, consistency and know-how that turn a transaction into a partnership. That’s what keeps production lines running, factory floors moving, and customers coming back for the right product at the right time at the right margin.
This is not just order taking.
This is sales internal/external.
Getting out on the road to visit customers.
Following leads and spotting opportunities.
Bringing in new business while keeping existing accounts happy.
Supporting the day-to-day flow, because in this team everyone supports each other.
As Business Development Executive you’ll be the link between the depot and the market across Northern Ireland, working hand in hand with a Sales Manager who has just stepped up into the role. Together, you’ll be driving growth in aluminium and stainless plate and bar, building relationships with fabricators, manufacturers and engineering businesses who need a supplier they can trust.
One day you’ll be sat with a customer talking through their next project, the next you’ll be on the phone chasing a deal or checking stock, making sure nothing slips. That balance of external drive and internal steadiness is exactly what this depot needs right now.
It’s a small, close-knit team. The Operations Director is hands-on, the shopfloor team know their stuff, and there’s a genuine feeling of everyone pulling in the same direction. They’re looking to grow Northern Ireland and want a Business Development Executive who will help make that happen. Someone solid, industry experience, ready to make their mark.

Metals experience is essential. Aluminium, stainless, plate, bar. You know how this industry works and what customers expect
A proven sales approach, just as comfortable face to face in a fabrication shop as you are picking up the phone

Salary up to £40k depending on experience
Quarterly profit-related bonus
25 days holiday plus bank holidays

You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be trusted to get on with it.
Proper backing from a Sales Manager and Director who want you to succeed If you are looking for a Sales Executive role that gives you the best of both worlds, time out visiting customers and influence inside the depot, this could be the move that makes work feel good again.
