?? About the Role
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to:
- Work closely with site accountants and key stakeholders to support the preparation, review, and submission of VAT and Intrastat declarations, contributing to the financial performance and tax position of the business unit(s) and subsequent reporting.
- Leverage excellent ERP and IT skills to deliver solutions to issues, and drive continuous systems improvement in collaboration with other departments.

?? Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Indirect Tax Manager, this role will be part of a team producing tax and financial reporting across the Pilgrims Europe group.
- Prepare VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and EC Sales Listings for all companies within the Group.
- Ensure all reporting is completed in line with established Group and HMRC/Irish Revenue timetables.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as required.
- Operate with the highest standards of financial integrity and collaborative working, consistently demonstrating the companys values.
- Support and collaborate with other team members as part of a highly motivated team.
- Carry out other duties as reasonably requested to ensure the efficient running of the Pilgrims Shared Services Financial Services department.
? What Were Looking For
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA with 2 years post-qualification experience, or qualified by experience.
- In-depth experience in VAT and Intrastat returns.
- SAP experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- A team player who can work collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and presentational skills.
- Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, consolidation, and reporting tools.
