Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to act as the right-hand support to the Director. This is a hands-on and strategic role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with leadership and department heads to drive organisational success.
The HR Manager will play a key part in shaping people strategy, overseeing day-to-day HR operations, and ensuring the business has the right people, structure, and culture to achieve its goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Directors to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead on succession planning, ensuring a clear structure for talent development and future leadership needs.
- Work closely with department heads to identify, diagnose, and solve organisational or people-related issues, offering practical and effective solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Oversee seasonal workforce planning and management, ensuring smooth onboarding, compliance, and retention of temporary staff.
- Support and coach managers in HR best practices, policies, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and oversee HR systems and reporting.
- Promote a positive and engaging workplace culture focused on collaboration, development, and accountability.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or seasonal business.
- Strong background in succession planning and talent management.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with leadership and department heads to deliver strategic HR solutions.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
- Confident managing both permanent and seasonal employees.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience preferred.
