HR Manager

Do you have the expertise to head up a dynamic HR function and drive effective employee relations?

Our client, an established organisation based in Belfast, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will focus on delivering expert employee relations support while helping shape a positive, inclusive workplace culture. You’ll lead the HR team, providing strategic and hands-on support to managers across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on complex employee relations issues including conduct, performance, grievance, and absence
• Manage high-risk or sensitive casework, including TUPE, sickness, ill health retirement, and hearings
• Coach and support the ER team and wider management group to handle people issues confidently
• Collaborate with trade unions to maintain positive employee relations
• Oversee the performance review process and support ongoing staff development
• Assist with payroll queries, benefits admin, and salary benchmarking
• Provide data-driven insights through HR reporting and KPIs
• Support policy creation and documentation, ensuring legal compliance and best practice
• Represent the business at hearings and tribunals if required
• Lead or support on HR projects and change programmes as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a senior HR role
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• CIPD or relevant 3rd level qualification
• TUPE and trade union experience essential
