What Youll Do
As a Health & Safety Officer, youll be responsible for ensuring our policies and practices not only meet legal obligations but also promote the well-being of their workforce. Your day-to-day will include:
- Advising and guiding managers, supervisors, and employees on health & safety matters.
- Conducting risk assessments, inspections, and investigations, ensuring timely action planning.
- Leading internal audits and supporting external audit processes.
- Developing and implementing H&S policies in line with legislation.
- Delivering in-house training and coordinating external training sessions.
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
What Were Looking For
Seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and confident person adept to in driving high standards.
Essential:
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Relevant training qualification.
- 35 years experience in a similar role (or strong demonstrable knowledge).
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Full driving licence / access to transport.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility with working hours to meet business needs.
Desirable:
- Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience within the food industry.
