Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
Location: Co. Tyrone,
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (OTE)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00/9:00am – 4:30/5:30pm)
Reports To: HR Manager & Factory Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join our team and ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across our operations. This is a key position within the business, providing advice, support, and guidance to management and staff, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) support and guidance to managers and employees.
- Develop, implement, and maintain company HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments, recommending corrective actions.
- Manage incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable H&S regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate all fire safety, first aid, and emergency response requirements.
- Deliver internal training and assist in coordinating external safety training.
- Support external audits and maintain accurate records.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT proficiency (MS Office) and report writing skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet business demands (audits, customer visits, peak production).
Desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma or Environmental NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Certified training experience (e.g., First Aid, Fire Warden).

Working Hours
