Main Duties & Focus Areas

• Support the implementation and adherence to HSE regulations and internal standards.

• Monitor and report key safety and environmental performance indicators.

• Lead regular site safety reviews and coordinate cross-functional HSE discussions.

• Participate in insurance and incident claim processes, providing necessary documentation and input.

• Regularly evaluate and update workplace safety procedures and environmental protocols.

• Contribute to HSE-related projects and initiatives that improve operational performance.

• Investigate incidents or near misses, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions.

• Act as the point of contact for external bodies including health professionals, insurers, and compliance authorities.

• Deliver health and safety training and support colleagues with awareness campaigns.

• Work closely with all departments to embed a proactive approach to risk management and safety best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong understanding of current safety and environmental legislation

• Practical knowledge of risk management frameworks including COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE
