The Role

As the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will be at the forefront of all company operations, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for all employees. You’ll work across a diverse team, including Transport, Warehousing, Customs, and the AVPlant. This is a unique opportunity to go beyond meeting regulations,and to embed a strong safety culture that is a core driver for continued growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and standardising all health and safety policies and procedures across the group.

  • Conducting regular risk assessments and comprehensive workplace audits to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.

  • Leading accident and incident investigations, producing detailed reports with clear, actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences.

  • Promoting a proactive safety culture through engaging training programs, safety talks, and leading our health and safety committee.

  • Ensuring legal compliance with all relevant NI, UK, and ROI Health and Safety legislation.

  • Advising and supporting all departments on safety best practices, ensuring a unified and consistent approach.

  • Maintaining all safety-related records and communicating performance to senior management, driving continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria
A relevant qualification A NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety is required, or an equivalent certification that demonstrates a high level of expertise in the field.

  • Experience with health and safety management of AD equipment and infrastructure, including maintenance, testing, and operation.
  • Solid knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to the installation, maintenance, and operation of large-scale AD systems

  • A strong track record in conducting risk assessments and a proven ability to lead accident and incident investigations.

  • Relevant experience, preferably within the FMCG, transport, or logistics sectors, with comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation across N.Ireland, the UK, and the ROI

  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse workforce at all levels.
