Groundsman
As a groundsman for Edgewater Holiday Park you would be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing. Your duty would also typically include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers and trees, removing weeds, and managing irrigation systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Care: Planting, pruning, and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Debris Removal: Clearing litter, leaves, and other debris from the grounds.
- Irrigation Management: Ensuring proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Basic Repairs and Maintenance: Fixing minor issues with outdoor features like benches, fences, and walkways.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and operating groundskeeping equipment like mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Ensuring Safety: Keeping grounds safe for visitors and staff by removing hazards and maintaining clear pathways.
- Equipment Operation:
Proficiency in using hand tools and power equipment like mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Attention to Detail:
Maintaining a clean and well-kept environment requires attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
Addressing issues like plant diseases, irrigation problems, or safety hazards.
- Ability to Follow Instructions:
Understanding and following instructions from supervisors or manager
Hours of Work:
930-5 Monday-Friday
Winter months- Monday-Wednesday.
