Hays are working in partnership with a leading global, multidisciplined engineering and construction company to recruit a Graduate Electrical Engineer. This contractor provides a wide range of construction services across infrastructure sectors, including rail, water, power, and natural resources.
Your new role
- Assist in the design of electrical systems for treatment plants
- Support the development of cable sizing, layout drawings, and schematics
- Contribute to the selection and specification of instrumentation
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Participate in site visits and commissioning activities
Technical Exposure
- Power distribution and low-voltage systems
- PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and telemetry
- Electrical safety and compliance
- Instrumentation and control systems
What you’ll need to succeed
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or nearing completion)
- Interest in automation and control systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Full Driving Licence
