General Operative required for the Belfast City Council. Located Charlotte Street, Belfast
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7.30am to 3.30pm, and Friday from 7.30am 3pm with an hourly rate of £13.47.
This is a temporary, three-month position with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Clean and maintain public areas including streets and parks
- Oversee waste management facilities
- Collect rubbish and recycling, separate waste, and dispose of both general and hazardous waste
- Remove graffiti, gum and posters
- Operate hand and power tools
- Carry out cultural operations, such as planting shrubs and plants
- Remove debris from public areas

What We Need From You
- Minimum of 6 months previous experience cleaning outdoor areas
- Must have awareness of health and safety regulations including experience operating equipment and manual handling
- Previous experience interacting with members of the public
