Your new role
As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading operations across two manufacturing sites, managing a team of up to 80 staff across production, quality, and office support functions. You will drive strategic and operational performance, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and financial goals are consistently met. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. This is a senior leadership role with significant scope for influence and development.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will bring proven experience in a senior operations or general management role within the food manufacturing sector. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance frameworks such as BRC and HACCP. Commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites will be key to your success. Experience with lean manufacturing, ERP systems, and health-focused or artisan food production will be highly advantageous.
