Job Summary

Fire Safety Adviser urgently required for our Public Sector Client based in Causeway Hospital. The hours of work will be 9am-5pm Monday- Friday with a rate of pay of £15.33 per hour. This role is initially for 6 months with the possibility for an extension.

Main Job Duties include:

  • Help carry out fire risk assessments, fire drills, training sessions, and inspections.
  • Check buildings for fire safety issues and suggest actions to fix any problems.
  • Look into fire incidents, report what happened, and give advice to help prevent future fires or false alarms.
  • Help deliver fire safety training, like induction, fire warden training, and how to use fire equipment.
  • Assist with testing fire alarms and sprinkler systems, and help prepare the required safety documents.
  • Support the Senior Fire Safety Advisor by giving guidance on fire safety laws and Trust policies.
  • Help arrange inspections with the Fire and Rescue Service and follow up on any issues they raise.
  • Attend meetings about fire safety and share updates or advice when needed.

What We Need From You

What we require:

  • Degree in Building, Engineering, or Fire Safety.
  • 1 year of experience in a fire safety role, including carrying out fire risk assessments.
  • Hold a current full driving licence.
