Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working in partnership with a growing consultancy to source a Financial Modeller to join their dynamic and collaborative team. This is a hands-on modelling role suited to a technically strong Accountant with direct experience building and reviewing complex models from scratch for investment appraisals, valuations, strategic planning, and carve-outs across multiple sectors.

The Role

• Build robust, flexible financial models to support strategic decision-making, transactions, and investment cases

• Develop and enhance models for valuations, carve-outs, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and strategic option assessments

• Conduct model reviews and validations, identifying errors, improving structure, and applying best practices

• Modify and improve existing models to incorporate new functionality and updated assumptions

• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, providing clear insights and guidance based on financial outputs

• Apply a commercial lens to technical modelling work, ensuring outputs are intuitive, practical, and actionable

• Contribute to internal capability-building and coach junior team members where required

The Person

• ACA, ACCA – ideally 1-3 years post qualified experience in a similar role

• Minimum 3+ years’ direct experience building financial models in a consulting, advisory, or transaction services environment

• Proven experience with valuation, cash flow, and carve-out modelling

• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations

• Experience working across multiple sectors

• Excellent attention to detail
