As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking to appoint a commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping their next phase of growth.

Working closely with the leadership team, this is an ideal opportunity for a commercially astute and analytical finance professional to play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting decision-making, and driving performance across the business.

The Role:

• Oversee the finance function, reporting directly to the senior leadership team
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Work closely with senior leadership to lead budgeting and forecasting, providing clear financial direction and insight
• Monitor and report on variance analysis
• Develop, implement and maintain financial controls
• Prepare board packs and financial reports, ensuring key insights are communicated clearly
• Develop and implement KPIs and financial dashboards to enhance performance tracking and support strategic decision-making
• Identifying potential efficiencies and improvements to systems, processes, and operations
• Prepare and present financial results and insights to the wider business

The Person:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Proven experience in a similar hands-on finance role, ideally within a growing SME
• Strong systems experience
• Commercially minded with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to senior stakeholder
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven experience of leading, supporting, and motivating a small team
