As the business continues to grow, they are now seeking to appoint a commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping their next phase of growth.
Working closely with the leadership team, this is an ideal opportunity for a commercially astute and analytical finance professional to play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting decision-making, and driving performance across the business.
The Role:
- Oversee the finance function, reporting directly to the senior leadership team
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Work closely with senior leadership to lead budgeting and forecasting, providing clear financial direction and insight
- Monitor and report on variance analysis
- Develop, implement and maintain financial controls
- Prepare board packs and financial reports, ensuring key insights are communicated clearly
- Develop and implement KPIs and financial dashboards to enhance performance tracking and support strategic decision-making
- Identifying potential efficiencies and improvements to systems, processes, and operations
- Prepare and present financial results and insights to the wider business
The Person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in a similar hands-on finance role, ideally within a growing SME
- Strong systems experience
- Commercially minded with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to senior stakeholder
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience of leading, supporting, and motivating a small team
