This is a key appointment (no.1 in finance) for a qualified finance professional looking to take ownership of a growing finance function and play a pivotal role in driving growth, performance, and strategic development. The hiring firm have recently been backed by a successful private equity firm which will again give even more career progression to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and investors to strengthen financial controls, enhance reporting, and support future expansion including potential acquisitions. The role offers a genuine progression pathway toward Finance Director / CFO level under future ownership.

Whats on Offer

• £60k – £70k base salary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including month-end and year-end close.

• Deliver accurate, timely management information and statutory reporting.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.

• Partner with operational and project teams to ensure financial discipline across CapEx investments.

• Support M&A activity, including financial modelling, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.

• Develop and mentor the finance team, driving continuous improvement.

• Champion process simplification and system enhancements (Xero environment).

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Strong experience in financial control, reporting, and analysis.

• Skilled in financial modelling and Excel; ERP experience (Xero desirable).

• Exposure to capital projects or M&A activity (desirable)

• Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder skills.

• Hands-on, proactive, and eager to grow with an ambitious, values-driven business.
