Black Fox Solutions are currently working with a leading heavy engineering company who are looking to bring a new Financial Accountant on to the team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post month-end journals, ensuring all financial data is accurately entered into the corporate reporting database to meet the 4-day close deadline.
- Submit monthly and quarterly management accounts, site and brand packs, corporate narratives, and operating analysis in line with the corporate reporting calendar.
- Support quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, guiding department managers through cost preparation and coordinating timely data input into the corporate system.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and variance reviews, preparing KPI reports and attending counts as a financial auditor.
- Recommend improvements to internal business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making across departments.
- Provide KPI reports to both departmental and corporate management as required.
- Support the Financial Controller across all areas of financial management as needed.
- Prepare and reconcile all month-end control accounts.
- Assist cost accountants in reviewing and updating machine costings, including materials, labour, and overheads.
What you’ll need:
- A third level education, ideally in an Accounts capacity CIMA/ACCA/ACA or QBE
- Experience in preparing and reporting accounts preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong accounts systems knowledge and proficient in Excel Spreadsheets and MS Word
- Experience working with Oracle
