An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Partner to join a small but ambitious business at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a newly created role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
Working closely with the Managing Director, youll have the autonomy to design and implement a scalable finance structure from the ground up ensuring the company has robust financial processes, controls, and insights to support sustainable expansion.
Youll play a key role as both a strategic advisor and operational lead, shaping financial systems, managing cashflow, and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement finance processes and structures to support business growth.

Manage day-to-day finance operations including invoicing, payroll, holiday calculations, and planned payments.

Set up and oversee supplier payments, ensuring effective cashflow management.

Prepare financial forecasts and budgets, monitoring performance against targets.

Review and control costs, providing visibility and recommendations to leadership.

Support accurate costing and profitability analysis for new and existing business.

Manage invoice discounting and maintain relationships with financial institutions.

Identify and assist with funding or grant opportunities (e.g. Invest NI).

Produce regular management reports, offering insight and strategic recommendations.
Person Requirements:

Proven experience in an SME finance role (Finance Partner, Financial Controller, or similar).

Strong knowledge of end-to-end finance processes from invoicing through to reporting and forecasting.

Experience managing payroll, holiday accruals, and cashflow.

Confidence in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Advanced Excel and accounting software skills.

Trusted and discreet partner with strong commercial awareness.
