Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Dunnes, Morrisons, Aldi & Lidl throughout the UK & Ireland.
This key role is to maintain the Sales Ledger and to manage the debt within the Sales Ledger. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising Sales Invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Issuing of CreditNotes
- Dealing with queries arising fromInvoices
- Extensive use of Excel including use of formulas(essential)
- Maintenance of Sales Ledger and all associatedadministration
- Managing debt over the phone and via email
- Ensuring debtors adhere to payment terms
- Allocating cash to customer accounts
- Lodgements / Banking
- Support Accounts Payable department
- To provide front desk reception duties which includes (but is not limited to) answering and redirecting calls as well as taking messages and passing them to the appropriate person(s).
Essential Criteria
Previous Finance Assistant Experience (1 year)
GCSEs in Maths & English (or equivalent)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Excellent level of English, both written and verbal
Desirable Criteria
AAT Qualification
A-Level in Maths & English
Previous experience using Microsoft AX system
Previous experience working in the Food Manufacturing industry
