The role requires a candidate who will be responsible for: Researchingthecostofitemssuchasmaterials,transport,labourandequipment Establishingandmaintainingexcellentrelationswithbothbuilders,professionalteamsanddirectlywithend user clients Gettingquotesfromsuppliersandcontractorswithinaspecifiedtimeframeandmaintainingacostdatabase Assessingtherisklevelsassociatedwithaproject Preparingandsubmittingquotationsanddetailsofcostsforworktobedone Assistingwithbidsfornewcontractsandsupportingtheactivitiesofbuyers Monitoringthecostsatthedifferentstagesofaprojecttoensureitstayswithintheestimatedcosts Liaise with Client and Principal contractor at design and progress meetings. The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: 3Yearsminimumexperienceinasimilarrole. Estimating knowledge and pricing, prepare and submit competitive tender packages with values ranging from our small works department to £5m+ Interpreting drawings and specifications, undertaking material take-off’s and ordering of materials. Competentwithcomputersoftwaretoinclude: Microsoftword,excel,project,accessandpowerpoint. AutoCAD Anyestimatingsoftware Abletomanageawiderangeofprojects,includingsmallworks,newbuildandrefurbishments Abletoworkontheirowninitiativeandaspartofateam. Dedicatedtomaintainingthehighestqualitystandards. Agoodcommunicatorwithanorganisedandmethodicalapproachtocompletionofprojects.
