Job Summary

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a Registered Charity in Northern Ireland, to recruit an Estates Manager on a permanent basis.

The organisation provides services for a diverse range of users across Ireland. This includes residential care, supported housing and nursing care for older people, day care, residential respite care, supported living and other services for people with a learning disability and those with a physical disability.

Your new role
This is a newly created post that will assume responsibility for ensuring that the property used to accommodate the services provided by the organisation is safe, suitable, homely and in compliance with relevant regulations, standards and good practice.

You will organise, supervise, manage and monitor estates activity and resources. You will ensure that well specified, good value contracted estate services are delivered on time and to an acceptable standard.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must possess:

A construction related third level qualification.

Proven knowledge of health and safety e.g., NEBOSH certificate or diploma.

Knowledge and working experience of estates standards, regulations and good practice applicable to health and social care premises in the community.

Competency in the use of word, spreadsheet and database software.

Relevant and demonstrable estates maintenance experience at management or supervisory level.

Relevant and demonstrable experience managing estates maintenance contractors.

Hybrid working is available – properties are located across Northern Ireland and the role will entail a mix of site visits / head office presence / working from home.
