ROLE PURPOSE
As the Environment Officer, you’ll be the primary point of contact for all environmental matters at our Belfast site. You will be responsible for leading operational environmental compliance and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of EHS, you’ll ensure we meet all regulatory requirements, enhance our environmental performance, and achieve our internal objectives. This role involves maintaining our ISO 14001 compliance, managing environmental risks, and representing Airbus in key forums. You will also oversee the deployment of Airbus’ environmental policy and manage our audit programs.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

Implement, monitor, and continuously improve the Airbus Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001.

Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities, communicating relevant information to key stakeholders.

Ensure the accuracy of consolidated environmental data for reporting and communication obligations.

Manage environmental licenses and authorizations to secure our license to operate, including anticipating and applying for new permits.

Lead audit programs and coordinate data consistency for both internal and external reporting.
ABOUT YOU
-
Previous experience in an operational environmental role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience working with formal environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.

Knowledge and experience with waste regulations.

Strong understanding of relevant software and databases like FISH and EPPS.

Proven ability to deliver consistently to internal and external deadlines.
