The Engineer (Operations) will form part of an operational management team. They will oversee management / maintenance, recreational / commercial use and future development of Waterways Ireland infrastructure in the Lower Bann as required.
The successful applicant will be required to manage operational staff and consultants / contractors working on Waterways Ireland property for implementation of new or
refurbishment projects. They will also be required to coordinate with user groups for facilitation of events, and to work in partnership with third parties and local interests to manage and develop the waterways for increased recreational use.
The successful applicant will also be part of the Waterways Ireland Emergency Response Team and will be required to provide out of office service on a rota basis. This duty will attract a separate remuneration of £2,997.00 per annum.
