Overview
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Belfast law firm, is seeking to appoint a Paralegal to join their busy Employment Law Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with prior legal assistant or paralegal experience to develop their expertise within a specialist and supportive team environment.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors on a wide range of employment law matters, supporting both contentious and non-contentious work. Previous employment law experience is preferred but not essential the firm is happy to consider candidates with solid legal administrative or paralegal experience in another area of law who have a genuine interest in developing a career in employment law.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and paralegal support to solicitors within the Employment Law team.
- Assisting with the preparation of tribunal bundles, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Drafting letters, documents, and legal forms under supervision.
- Managing case files and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Conducting legal research and assisting with the preparation of advice to clients.
- Liaising with clients, barristers, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting the team with diary management, filing, and general office duties as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in employment law and client care.
