Due to our continued growth, we have fantastic opportunity for an *Electrical Design Engineer* to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop new bespoke control systems from concept to delivery. Whilst based in Cookstown projects are wide ranging geographically and the successful candidate will be expected to operate with a large degree of autonomy.
*The Job:*
§ Use ePlan Pro Panel or Zuken software to create 2D and 3D models and drawings of products to meet Customer specified requirements.
§ Work in conjunction with Sales to understand Customer technical requirements, including directly interfacing with the Customers when required.
§ Research new materials, designs, and methods/equipment for production.
§ Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes/production build (if required).
§ Detailed engineering drawings for manufacture
§ Amend drawings for bespoke customer changes
§ Resolve technical difficulties identified during production build, during customer usage/ commissioning or through failure in the field Site visits to assess installation.
§ Liaise with manufacturing team to ensure projects run to schedule
§ Source materials and parts
§ Maintain technical specifications and user documentation
§ Completion of BOMs
*The Person:*
§ Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or possess significant relevant experience.
§ At least 3 years’ experience in heavy engineering design role
§ 2D and 3D modelling experience (ePlan, Zuken or similar)
§ Sound knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
§ Excellent time management and communication skills
§ Excellent people and interpersonal skills
§ Logical thinker with good analytical and problem-solving skills
