Responsible for: Driving activities on behalf of Usel
Pay:£12.60 per hour
Hours: 35 per week (Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm, Fri 8am-1pm)
Job Purpose:Toassistinfulfillingoperationalrequirementswithin
recycling, prioritising job activities, ensuring optimal route planning, compliance with documentation requirements and driving regulations
Job Description:
- Ensurevehiclesaremechanicallysoundandlegallyroadworthybefore commencing work.
- Ensurealldrivingregulationsareadheredto inrelationtotachographs; ensure appropriate breaks are recorded and procedures followed.
- Safelysecureloadsfortransporttoensuregoodsarecollectedanddelivered intact.
- Handle company property with due care and attention, ensuring any issues arereportedimmediatelytotheRecyclingSupervisororOperationsManager.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and signed off by customers as required, ensuring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Ensuremostefficientroutefromcollectiontodropoffisfollowedandjobs completed in a timely manner.
- To ensure the lorry is cleanand roadworthy;promptly report anyproblems to directlinesupervisor;alllorryissuesmustberecordedonthetablet provided.
- ObserveHealth&Safetypracticesatalllocations.
- Ensureuniformiscleanandworndailyalongside fullPPEasperHealth& Safety regulations.
- Carryoutanyotherreasonablerequestsasdeemednecessaryforthejob.
- To be at least 25 years of age due to age restrictions with our insurance provider with the ability to lift 25kgs.
Essential Criteria:
- Flexibleandadaptabletomeetbusinessdemands
- HaveafullUKdrivinglicenceideallywithzeropoints
- Certificate of professional competence (CPC)
Due to the nature of work, successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Access NI check and CTC application upon commencement of employment.
