Job Summary

Digital Hub (myEARTH) Project Manager

Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful

Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is delighted to be exclusively partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful (KNIB) to recruit a proactive, hands-on Digital Hub (myEARTH) Project Manager. This is a rare chance to scale a newly launched, sector-wide digital platform that connects people and organisations with environmental action and education opportunities across Northern Ireland.

About Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful

KNIB is a forward-thinking charity driving practical environmental improvement, behaviour change and sustainability across Northern Ireland. The team works with communities, schools, businesses and government to deliver a cleaner, greener future.

About myEARTH

myEARTH is KNIB’s digital platform designed to elevate environmental action and streamline delivery across the sector. Developed in collaboration with Northern Ireland Environment Link’s Education for Sustainable Development Forum (ESDF) and funded by Dormant Assets NI, myEARTH launched in June 2025. With the core build complete, the focus now shifts to user growth, partner onboarding and long-term sustainability – including the migration of Eco-Schools NI applications and resources onto the platform from September 2025.

About the Role

You will lead the day-to-day management and growth of myEARTH – owning delivery plans, coordinating stakeholders, driving engagement and ensuring the platform is robust, secure and impactful. Sitting within KNIB’s Communications Department, you’ll work closely with an external development partner, the ESDF Officer, KNIB’s comms colleagues and delivery partners across NI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management: Lead delivery plans and Steering Group meetings; manage timelines, risks, reporting and funder requirements.
  • Platform operations: Coordinate with the IT partner on maintenance, security, uptime and performance; manage change requests and QA.
  • User growth and engagement: Execute the Communications & Engagement Plan (with KNIB comms and agency support) to drive registrations, repeat use and partner activity.
  • Content and partnerships: Curate and approve platform content (Action Cards, Resources & Opportunities); onboard and support Delivery Partners to publish high-quality content.
  • Eco-Schools migration: Plan and deliver the smooth transition of Eco-Schools NI processes and resources into myEARTH.
  • Budget and value for money: Track spend, manage budgets and produce clear reports for internal stakeholders and funders.
  • Income development: Support applications for additional funding, grants and sponsorship to secure the platform’s long-term sustainability.
  • Data and insights: Use analytics to monitor usage, inform decisions and optimise user journeys.
  • Representation: Act as an ambassador for myEARTH and KNIB with partners and stakeholders.

  • At least 2 years’ end-to-end project management with on-time, on-budget delivery.

  • Strong analysis and problem-solving; able to translate data and research into decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, remaining calm and effective under pressure.
  • Access to transport to meet partners and attend meetings across NI.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Hands-on budget management and funder reporting.
  • Professional communications/marketing/content experience.
  • Experience managing digital platforms and gathering requirements with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
