ViVA Tech Talent are proud to exclusively partner with a global technology leader seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing Cloud Engineering team in Belfast. You’ll be working at the forefront of cloud, virtualisation, and automation – helping shape scalable, secure, and cutting-edge infrastructure.
The Role ️
You’ll design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade private cloud environments, working with a mix of virtualisation, containerisation, and automation technologies to deliver secure, high-performance infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities ✅
- Build and support private or hybrid cloud platforms using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and virtualisation technologies.
- Manage and maintain containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Automate deployments using Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Integrate and optimise compute, network, and storage solutions across environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across Linux systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, networking, and security teams.
- Produce clear technical documentation and playbooks.
About You
- Approx 5 years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure engineering.
- Strong background in virtualisation or private cloud (e.g., VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and ideally Red Hat OpenShift.
- Confident in automation/orchestration (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar).
- Solid grasp of Linux systems, networking, and storage.
- Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Must be based in Northern Ireland (hybrid Belfast role).
