- An excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to join a global engineering firm based in L/Derry. Reporting to the Lead Design Engineer and working as part of a team you will focus on development of new and existing products within defined timescales.

`The Role
- Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.
- Resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively and manage engineering change process
- Follow Group standards of in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testing
- Ensure current and new products meet standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliability
- Reduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing and suppliers.
- Investigate and address Customer Complaints in a timely manner.
The Person
- Degree in an engineering related subject
- 3 years’ experience
- Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally CREO
- Good technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Experience of conveying systems would be advantageous
