Your New Company The company is currently seeking to employ a skilled full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team of engineers based at its factory. The company is dedicated to creating innovative solutions and designs that meet project specifications while ensuring functionality. Your New Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, the successful candidate will take responsibility for various sized projects from concept through to completion. They will ensure that all projects are produced to required specifications, standards, and budgets. Additionally, they will update the parts library and portfolio of standard components. What You Will Need to Succeed The ideal candidate will need a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience within a busy design office and competence in using 2D & 3D software such as AutoCAD and Inventor. A relevant 3rd level or above qualification in an engineering-related subject is required, though more years of relatable design experience would be considered. Strong communication and people skills are essential, along with a good knowledge of manufacturing processes within a heavy steel engineering workshop. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and problem-solve effectively, both independently and in a team environment, are crucial.
