Job Summary

Role: Customer Services Officer – Temporary – Belfast Job Overview VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector organisation, in their search for a Customer Services Officer for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. The Customer Services Officer will provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to assist in the development and delivery of key areas within housing-related customer services. Salary: £16.37/hour 37 hours per week Belfast city centre office Key Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service by taking ownership of queries, seeing them through to resolution, and escalating when necessary. Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and external contacts. Represent the organisation positively, helping to maintain a strong and professional public image. Work in line with all organisational policies and procedures, including those related to equality, health and safety, and data protection. Support colleagues by directing them to the correct resources or contacts for matters beyond the scope of your role. Take part in project work as assigned, using sound project management principles to deliver tasks effectively. Support recruitment and resourcing activity as required, in line with organisational guidelines. Carry out other reasonable duties as needed to support the organisation’s goals and evolving priorities. Essential Criteria: Hold a degree-level qualification with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR Demonstrate equivalent professional development or experiential learning with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in: Effective written and verbal communication, including coordinating communications and negotiation skills. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. Hold a current driving licence or have access to suitable transport to meet the role’s requirements. Desirable Criteria: Experience analysing and interpreting data to improve service delivery. Experience in housing management functions. Possession of a recognised professional housing qualification.
