The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

Applications are invited for the above position at our Newtownards site.

The Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing an effective and high-quality support to the home‐trade customer base in the areas of all incoming call handling, order taking, stock reservation, stock management and customer complaint handling.

This role will also ensure that all appropriate financial transactions in relation to sales and credits are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

Key responsibilities will include (Not limited too):

• Enter and release sales orders onto the ERP system (via phone, fax, email, EDI), reserve stock against these orders, while ensuring any changes / shortages are both updated on the ERP system and recorded as discrepancies on the complaints database.

• Communicate with transport planning and hauliers directly regarding delivery ETA’s and all other distribution issues whilst ensuring all this information is recorded and reported on correctly.

• Receive and field all incoming calls, sales orders and delivery queries from customers.

• Liaise with QA, Forecasting, Planning, Warehouse and distribution providers in relation to stock availability to meet customer orders.

• Proactively acquire and record customer feedback using different feedback tools.

• Develop successful working relationships and communicate daily with account managers regarding any account queries, sales leads, deliveries, and potential problems with customers.

• Reception duties including manning the company switchboard, franking company post daily and arranging travel and accommodation for staff and customers. Responsible for also validating taxi and hotel bill for site monthly.

• Management of stock across multiple sites, build inter‐site transfer loads and maintain stock rotation between sites ensuring stock holding is monitored and reported on a daily basis to the Customer Support Team Leader.

• Raise complaints and liaise with customers to ensure that all appropriate financial transactions in relation to sales and credits are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

The Person

Our team are seeking an individual who is educated to GCSE Level (to include Math’s & English Grade C or above) or equivalent and who has previous experience within a busy, time-pressured, Customer Supply environment as well as previous experience of an ERP/CRM/Sales Ordering system.

The successful applicant will possess excellent written & verbal communication skills as well as evident experience interacting with customers/contractors by telephone. An ability to quickly pick up IT systems is essential as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The successful candidate will be proactive, professional and be able to deal with pressure to respond to customer demands while ensuring the customer remains their top priority. While not essential, experience gained within a food manufacturing environment, and experience of working with stock rotation would be desirable.
