Our client is a leading food manufacturing company. You will join an established finance team in a newly created role as Cost Accountant to support business growth, manage costs and add value to the financial management of the company.
This is a fantastic role where you will have the opportunity to business partner with the senior leadership team to maximise profitability.
Your new role
Manage product costings within the businessBusiness partner with senior stakeholders including NPD, Commercial and OperationsManage standard cost roll-ups and impact on stock valuationManage master data within the recipe system and manufacturing system ensuring costs and prices are accurateReporting weekly on variances, including PPV, PV’s and LabourSupporting the post launch review processSupporting the Head of Finance with analysis to report on profitabilitySupporting finance projects and continuous improvement initiativesCarry out any other administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the departmentCarry out any other duties as reasonably requiredContribute to the development of a culture of integrity, collaboration ‘do the right thing’ approach in all interactions.Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all timesWhat you’ll need to succeed
A qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)Proven track record in cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysisExperience with recipe management systems and ERPStrong Excel skillsExcellent Attention to detail3-5 years’ experience in FMCGWhat you’ll get in return
